Voice is available in TextTorrent
Voice-capable TextTorrent numbers can receive supported incoming calls, with call forwarding and voicemail where those options are available.
What changed
TextTorrent Voice is available for business numbers that support voice. Customers can call the same TextTorrent number used for messaging when that number is voice-capable. Where call forwarding is available, incoming calls can be sent to a destination phone saved in the dashboard. Where voicemail is available, missed calls can be reviewed in the control panel.
Voice is confirmed on each number. A number that can send SMS is not automatically able to receive calls.
Why it matters
Teams often text from a local business number, then lose the conversation when the customer calls that number instead of replying. Voice keeps the call on the same public number. Marketing, messages, and contact details can stay aligned on one business identity while supported incoming calls reach the person covering the line.
How it works
Open the number in TextTorrent and review its capabilities before relying on calling. If the number lists voice, open the call settings offered for that number. Save the destination that should receive supported incoming calls, then place a test call before you advertise the number more widely.
This release covers supported incoming calls. It does not add outbound dialing, an auto attendant, ring groups, call recording, or voicemail transcription.
Who it helps
Operators who text from a published business number and need callers to reach a teammate. Remote teams can send supported calls to a mobile or office line without changing the number customers already saved. Everyone else can keep working in the same SMS inbox, campaigns, and contact list.
How to get started
Sign in to TextTorrent and open number management. Select the business number customers should call and confirm that it shows voice capability. Enter the forwarding destination where that setting is available, save it, and test the call. Use the call forwarding and local numbers pages for the published setup guidance.
